  • our customers also enjoy the benefits of this sponsorship, including in the form of more accessible services that the team offers as the managers of the Radovljica swimming centre.
The 100th anniversary “Glasova preja” (“Woven Voices”) round-table, because:

  • by organising races it promotes the city of Kranj and its vicinity;

The Young Gorenjska Family

Through the organisation of the exceptionally well-attended charity concert entitled “Evening of Golden Hearts”. The guests’ presence was of particular importance, as Gorenjska banka contributed 10 euros for each guest to a young mother whose family situation forced her to take her children to a safe house.

The Kranj Gymnasium

Through financial support for a project on the gymnasium’s 200th anniversary. The anniversary of the Kranj Gymnasium is also an excellent opportunity to renovate the gymnasium building and modernise the classrooms, giving the gymnasium students a more creative environment.

Bled Health Care Centre

Which began a thorough renovation at the end of 2009 including modernisation of the clinics and connected areas, giving the patients improved health care and an increased feeling of well-being. The users of the services of the Bled Health Care Centre are also the users of Gorenjska banka services, so Gorenjska banka provided financial support for the project.

The “Let’s Clean Up Slovenia” campaign

Slovenia’s largest volunteer campaign, during which on one day in the spring of 2010 several wildcat dump sites will be cleaned up along forest and mountain trails, riverbanks and coastal areas, as well as in urban areas, near settlements and in villages. The organisers expect that more than 20 thousand tonnes of municipal waste will be removed, which in the opinion of Gorenjska banka is by all means a project worth supporting.

Clowndoctors

Instead of the normal gifts that we usually give our customers on Savings Day, we gave out the Clowndoctors’ red noses, and we used the funds that we would have spent on the gifts to support the activities of the Clowndoctors.

Darko Džurič

By purchasing a specially adapted vehicle. Darko was born without both legs and a left arm. As a successful secondary-school student, he wants to study at the Faculty of Sport, and to compete in swimming at the Paralympic Games in London. With a specially-designed vehicle he will undoubtedly be able to live his courageous dream. At Gorenjska banka we are all rooting for him. Bravo, Darko!
